URBAN FASHION

MIND MAP

What is Urban Fashion?
- a sense of style that changes from decade to decade, century to century. Each era of fashion can change by very little or drastically.

-Urban fashion is edgy and reflects lifestyle, attitudes and individually.

- Inspiration for urban lifestyle trends comes not from the media but from those trendsetters, those individuals within the scene that lead. Those that turn ideas into action. Those who refuse to follow conventions. These are the people that direct the urban scene.

- The conclusion is urban fashion is a real fashion, style that exudes individuality and attitude and is what the ordinary fashion savvy shoppers are wearing now.

The history of Urban Fashion
The urban fashion was introduced since 1980's. At that time, hip hop was a new musical innovation and all the teenagers who listnened to the music wanted to dress like their favorite artists and looked for clothing they wore. The top famous brands are Adidas, Nike, Keds and Kangol.

From the research that i did about the urban fashion, it has been begins in New York City and start to followed by Chicago, Detroit , Los angeles and so on.

Trends in Malaysia

The Malaysian hip hop scene started in 1990s with rap groups such as KRU, 4U2C and NICO. After that, more and more artists who spread the music and hip hop trends to their fans.
